Pahalgam - A holiday destination and has best package tour for travellers

Pahalgam is a mountain paradise and famous tourist destination tucked away amidst dense forests of pine, cedar and deodars, surrounded by towering snowcapped peaks. It is known for its awesome scenic beauty. Located beside the Liddar river, in the Liddar valley, it is also the starting point for the annual pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra. SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

You can trek or hire ponies to the meadow at Baisaran (5 km). From Baisaran you can trek up to Tulian lake. Mamaleshwara (1 km) has a small 12th century Shiva temple and a stone tank. The village of Aru (11 km) is an ideal day excursion place. Chandanwari (16 km) and Panchtarni (13 km from Sheshnag) or the point where five streams meet, are good camping sites. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari, is a great picnic spot.

ACTIVITIES FOR YOU

Golf, fishing/angling, pony rides, trekking (to Lidderwat, Kolohoi glacier and Sonmarg), camping, sledging, and skiing are the varied options for the adventure lovers. For the nature buffs, there are trek trails, walks and a mini zoo. For the shoppers, there are many wool products and the famous Kashmir silks to choose from.

I wanted to go to Sonmarg from Srinagar in the morning after sightseeing in Sonmarg. Is it possible for me to reach Pahalgam by 6 pm for overnight stay?

It will not be possible for you to reach Pahalgam from Sonmarg as the travel time will be around 10-12 hrs depending upon the road and traffic conditions. It will be better if you stay at Srinagar overnight and then proceed to Pahalgam.

Kashmir is heaven on earth - Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam are memorable places to visit. Shopping here is full of fun. I shopped a lot with my family in Pahalgam.We bought many Kashmiri clothes and many other things.
There are a lot of activities in Pahalgam. We enjoyed the horse riding in Pahalgam and shikara in Gulmarg; beautiful snow everywhere in Kashmir. We also did skating in the Switzerland valley in Pahalgam. It’s a beautiful feeling.

You can reached this beautiful tourist place Pahalgam by train or plane.We had gone by plane because it’s easy to travel and the time taken is also short. From Mumbai to Srinagar, we reached in four hours by flight. Travelling is amazing and as smooth as snow. No warnings to share as we didn’t find anything dangerous. Kashmir is truly beautiful. I would like to visit it again.
